The Committee of Adjustment reviews applications for Minor Variances to the Zoning By-law for properties in the Town of Whitby. If a proposed development project doesn't comply with the Zoning By-law, a minor variance may be required. Please note that should Bill 23, More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022 be adopted and depending on the transitional period, Members appointed to the Committee of Adjustment may also be responsible for considering consent applications. Consent applications consider the approval required to subdivide land without the requirement of a plan of subdivision.
